Kevin told me I needed to rank the RBs and WRs together in order to not flood your email inbox. I agreed. Then I realized that I am 45 and I do what I want.

Tier 1

Christian McCaffrey, 49ers

Other than injury, there is no reason not to take McCaffrey first overall. Of course, he is currently injured.

Tier 2

Breece Hall, Jets
Bijan Robinson, Falcons
Jonathan Taylor, Colts
Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions

Running backs are the worst. I can see a scenario where all these guys are busts. It isn’t the same with wide receiver. With that said, Hall might need to be in Tier 1A. I have less concerns about him than the other three.

Tier 3

Kyren Williams, Rams
Saquon Barkley, Eagles
Travis Etienne Jr, Jaguars
James Cook, Bills
De’Von Achane, Dolphins
Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks
Josh Jacobs, Packers

This is all about upside. I don’t play fantasy to get second place.

Tier 4

Derrick Henry, Ravens
Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs

Many fantasy sites will put these two in a higher tier. I would rather have upside than safe picks.

Tier 5
Rachaad White, Bucs
Joe Mixon, Texans
Alvin Kamara, Saints
James Conner, Cardinals

I’m sorry, I just fell asleep reading this list. Please don’t have any of these guys as your RB1.

Tier 6

Raheem Mostert, Dolphins
Rhamonde Stevenson, Patriots
David Montgomery, Lions
Aaron Jones, Vikings

I actually love these dudes. Tier 6 is my sweet spot. I want one of these guys as depth or RB2 on my team.

Tier 7

Najee Harris, Steelers
Javonte Williams, Broncos
Gus Edwards, Chargers
Zamir White, Raiders
Tony Pollard, Titans
D’Andre Swift, Bears

I don’t want any of these players on my team. Please take them before my turn.

Tyjae Spears, Titans
Zack Moss, Bengals
Nick Chubb, Browns
Austin Ekeler, Commanders
Rico Dowdle, Cowboys
Jonathan Brooks, Panthers

Bucky Irving, Bucs

There are players you will see ranked above these guys on fantasy sites. Go ahead and visit those sites and take a boring running back. If I am drafting my fourth RB, I am taking a potential league changer and these are the dudes I am targeting.
