Recruiting Notebook: Terrance Saryon Commits to UW; Huskies Host Handful of Recruits During Win Over UCLA
2026 WR Terrance Saryon Chooses Washington, Plus Reactions from Top Recruits and Gameday Visitors
The Washington Huskies made waves on the recruiting trail this weekend, headlined by the commitment of 2026 wide receiver Terrance Saryon from Evergreen High School in Vancouver, WA.
The weekend also saw a host of key prospects and commits flocking to Montlake, showcasing the program’s growing momentum on and off the field. I spoke with a few recruits to get their reactions after their visits. Here’s my latest recruiting notebook.
Commits
2026 Wide Receiver Terrance Saryon (Evergreen - Vancouver, WA) is responsible for the biggest Huskies recruiting news of the weekend. Saryon announced his verbal commitment to the Huskies on Sunday after visiting during the UCLA game.
On his commitment, Saryon said “as soon as he step foot on campus, [he] knew it was home.” He added, “it was only a matter of building a relationship with the coaching staff.” Saryon emphasized that his “relationship with the coaching staff and [his] relationship with everyone in the building is amazing” and he “just felt like it was time.”
Saryon recently visited Oregon in October. Along with offers from UW and Oregon, Illinois, Cal, and other schools have offered Saryon.
2025 Edge Victor Sanchez Hernandez (Kamiak - Mukilteo, WA) made another gameday visit to Husky Stadium, after last visiting for the Michigan game in October. He said that the fan energy and stadium atmosphere “feels special,” especially because he’s “a hometown guy.” Hernandez committed to the Huskies in June.
2025 Athlete Jonathan Epperson (Auburn Riverside - Auburn, WA) also returned to Montlake for the UCLA game after visiting during the Michigan game in October. Epperson took the time to connect with fellow commits Victor Sanchez Hernandez and 2025 DL Dominic Macon (Adrienne C. Nelson - Happy Valley, OR). The group talked to each other about their excitement about being Huskies soon. Epperson mentioned that it was “crazy . . . that the next time [they] attend a Husky game, [they’ll] be in Husky uniform[s].” Epperson committed to Washington in June.
2025 WR Raiden Vines-Bright (IMG Academy - Bradenton, FL) made a gameday visit, coming along with a few teammates from IMG Academy. Vines-Bright said he is
“super excited to get down and get in the playbook, [and] hopefully earn some early playtime.”
Vines-Bright visited Washington in April and immediately committed to Washington after visiting. A scouting report on 247 Sports highlighted his “good straight line speed” and his ability to get “immediate separation at the line of scrimmage.”
Recruits
There were a few “flip” candidates making gameday last visits on Friday.
2025 San Diego State commit RB Quaid Carr (Servite HS - Anaheim, CA) made an official visit. Carr committed to SDSU in May.
2025 Michigan commit WR Andrew Marsh (Katy Jordan - Fulshear, TX) also made a gameday visit. Marsh was a key Washington target back in the spring and summer of this year. He may be having second thoughts of joining Michigan, considering the run-heavy offense that the Wolverines run. Marsh is the No. 13 ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class according to 247 Sports.
2025 Missouri commit WR Donovan Olugbode (IMG Academy - Bradenton, FL) made a gameday visit. Olugbode, like Marsh, was also a key target for UW before Olugbode eventually committed to Missouri in July. Olugbode is the No. 7 ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class according to 247 Sports.
2025 ATH Corey Waters (McNair HS - Stockton, CA) was in Seattle for a gameday visit. Waters is the younger brother of Husky standout running back Jonah Coleman. Corey said his favorite part of his experience was being on the field while Coleman warmed up. He was impressed by the Husky Stadium crowd and loved how “crazy” the environment gets after a big play. Waters holds offers from Cal and Colorado State.
2026 CB Justin Lewis (Rancho Cucamonga HS - Rancho Cucamonga, CA) made another gameday visit to Washington after last taking in UW’s win over Michigan in October. After taking in the team’s win over UCLA, Lewis remarked “it’s always a good time on Montlake.” He said Washington’s coaches “are always treating me like family” and that “it’s almost like [he’s] a part of the program.” Lewis mentioned that during his visit he spoke with both 2025 Missouri-commit WR Donovan Olugbode and 2025 Michigan-commit WR Andrew Marsh. Lewis holds offers from UW, Nebraska, and a handful of other schools.
2026 CB RJ Sermons also visited from Rancho Cucamonga HS. Sermons is one of the top cornerback recruits in the country. 247 Sports ranks Sermons as the No. 4 best cornerback in the 2026 class. 2025 ATH Cam Sermons from Rancho Cucamonga HS was also in attendance. Cam Sermons attended the Michigan game in October.
2026 OT Keenyi Pepe (IMG Academy -Bradenton, FL) made a gameday visit, coming all the way from Florida to the Northwest. Pepe is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the Class of 2026 according to 247 Sports. He holds over 30 scholarship offers from around the country, including the likes of Alabama, Miami, Colorado, and others.
Pepe’s teammate, 2026 DB Ksani Jiles (IMG Academy - Bradenton, FL) also made a gameday visit. Jiles holds over 20 offers and is a three-star recruit on 247 Sports. Both Jiles and Pepe play on the same team as UW commit 2025 WR Raiden Vines-Bright.
2027 NG/DT Kataferu Galoia (Timberline HS - Lacey, WA) took in his first college game experience with his family and fellow recruits. Galoia was impressed by the weight room and the players greeting him when he arrived. He recounted how cool it was to see the game in person and not over TV. He said “getting to the stadium, seeing the tailgates” and seeing “all the fans and students . . . was one of the coolest things [he’s] experienced.”
A pair of recruits from Yelm High School made the trip up north for the Friday gameday visit. Keep your eye on 2027 ATH Maurice Williams. Williams plays wide receiver and defensive back for Yelm. Along with Washington, he also holds offers from BYU, Washington State, Oregon State, and UNLV.
Williams’ teammate 2028 ATH Marcus Ronquillo also visited. Ronquillo stars at both running back and defensive back for Yelm.
